What is ICEBOX?

ICEBOX is a northern European VALORANT esports community, home to the Northern Classic and the Northern Frenzy tournaments, providing you a Discord community server & regular updates via our Twitter. ICEBOX is here to bring players together from across Northern Europe to share their love for all things VALORANT!

What countries apply to the Northern Europe region?

The Northern Europe region consists of several countries, including the United Kingdom, Ireland and Nordics. For the full list of countries applying to the Northern Europe region, visit our Rules page.

What are the eligibility requirements around country residency for ICEBOX tournaments?

Every participant, player or coach, must reside in the EMEA region. As well as this, every team roster must consist of a majority (3/5) lineup of residents of Northern Europe.

What is the Northern Classic?

The Northern Classic is a competition setup to showcase the best teams within the Northern European region. 8 teams will qualify from 2 Open Qualifier events for the £20,000 prize pool tournament. The group stage will consist of 2 groups with 4 teams each, with a GSL format and the 2 top teams from each group proceeding to Playoffs. Playoffs will be a double elimination bracket, all best of three matches until the Grand Final which is a weighted best of five.

What is the Northern Frenzy?

The Northern Frenzy cups are weekly competitions that are open to all within the eligibility requirements. Teams that participate in these cups will earn points based on their placement in each weekly cup. The top 4 teams after the 4 weekly cups will participate in a Finals event with a prize pool of £500. This will provide regular amateur competition for all players looking for competitive play within the region.

Can I compete in both the Northern Classic and Northern Frenzy cups?

All teams that fulfil the eligibility requirements are welcome to participate in all of our tournaments.

Will Fracture be enabled in the map pool for the tournaments?

Fracture will be enabled for all upcoming ICEBOX tournaments.

Am I able to broadcast or co-stream matches?

You will be able to broadcast or co-stream any matches within any of the ICEBOX tournaments. More details on this will be revealed at a later date or feel free to contact us at icebox@promod.gg for more information.
